In today’s age, I constantly find myself rushing. Rushing out of the house, rushing to work, rushing to a meeting, rushing home! I find that I just do not have as much time as I often think that I do. For 2020, I’ve resolved to purposefully make more time in my day. But there is still only 24 hours in a day Tammy! How will you make more time?
When we awaken each day, it’s not because we willed ourselves to do so. God has already pre-determined whether our eyes will open, if our hearts will beat, or if our lungs will fill with air that day. Thankfully, we don’t have to be concerned with any of those things. Our concern should be purposefully placed in devoting a little of our time to spend with the Father. If we do this, then, He can hear from us what our most pressing cares and concerns are. He can direct our paths according to His will. In that time spent alone with Him, He will give you just what you need in order to face everything that you need to face.
Check in with God first. In doing so, our daily assignment will come into focus amid rushing chaos.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
